I don't know about you, but when I take a sick day my creative juices get flowing around my house and I just have to redecorate something. I guess you could call it my version of DayQuil. This is my entry way and I hate it. That picture I have been trying to sell for forever and just haven't found it a good home. It obviously looks terrible with the bench. The light is just a standard builder light that I am desperate to take down but haven't found what I want yet. It's a little tricky because it needs to clear the front door when you open it. Currently, the front door skims it with about 1/4 of an inch left.
Gathering items I already have around my house, I came up with this. What do you think? Does it need something above the chair? I feel like it is a little bald.
Of course you can never go wrong decorating with canvas pictures of your favorite little girl!
The basket holds just a hodge-podge of items that were sitting in the "waiting to be used" decorating pile. The candle stick was actually for a client, but I had to purchase a new one because some little 2 year old in my home thought it would be fun to slam it on the tile. Nothing a little glue wouldn't fix!
What do you think? Do I need something over the chair and if so, what? I've stared at it for way too long!

I love it!! And how much and how big is that picture in the before shot ??
Love it! I think if you add something above the chair it will make it too busy. What you need is a stencil on the wall because the wall itself looks a little plain. Once I finish mine I can send it to you.

I love the wall! Your little girl is just adorable!!! Instead of adding to the wall what if you changed the chair... a little narrower seat with a taller back to help fill that vertical space. All your items are beautiful... but I wonder if all of them together in this space seems heavy... I would be glad to take some off of your hands! LOL
Who does these things when they are sick? I'm impressed! Could use a little of that motivation and creative juices when I'm healthy!
I like the area as is. The only thing I would suggest is some greenery of some sort to make the area look a little more inviting. Perhaps warming up the walls with an accent color would help as well. Love the vignette though! Where did you purchase the entry table?!
